This Norlin Era Gibson is the later iteration of the classic J-160E model used most famously by John Lennon and George Harrison of the Beatles. Unlike there’s this features square shoulders, rather than the sloped style, larger headstock w/ volute, and understated black binding rather than the cream. This particular guitar is a great sounding and great feeling player with fully functional electronics that sound even better when plugged in. Features a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and mahogany neck w/ rosewood board. Comes with the original Hardshell case that includes the original booklet and case key!

NOTE:

This instruments show lots of dings and scratches throughout and is not mint by any means. It also has a few areas in the top that need to be mentioned, such as multiple cracks which have been assessed by our luthier and deemed stable, and a dive around the sound hole and slight bellying behind the bridge. The original “witch hat” knobs have been replaced with gold barrel ones that have aged to more of a green color and the machine key buttons have been replaced with round ones. Also, it appears the top strap button has been replaced and relocated. If you are looking for a reasonably priced older Gibson to be your workhorse guitar, this is a fantastic candidate!
