JHS has a knack for reimagining history’s most coveted sounds, and The Fumble is no exception. On the surface, it’s a simple JFET clean boost, but underneath, it’s a re-creation of a legendary amp circuit, identical to the clean section of the JHS NOTADÜMBLË V1. It’s a sound that’s lived in some of the most sought-after and expensive amplifiers ever built, tracing back to a humble 1970s acoustic preamp. Refreshingly uncomplicated, The Fumble’s two knobs handle everything: Output sets your master volume, and Input simultaneously attenuates bass and gain at the front of the circuit.
