Martin OM-28- Ambertone (NEW)
Martin OM-28- Ambertone (NEW)
many, the Martin OM-28 represents the perfect balance in acoustic guitar. OM, or Orchestra Model guitars are actually the same body shape as the Martin 000, but with a longer, 25.4" scale compared to the 24.9" scale of the 000 guitars. From a distance, you can often differentiate the OM from a 000 by its teardrop pickguard. The OM-28 Standard combines that comfortable and responsive 000 body size, with a longer scale for increased energy transfer to the spruce top. It handles both a heavy strum and a delicate fingerstyle approach with rewarding results. The rosewood back and sides provide a strong bass response and sparkling highs with a slight mid-scoop. The modified low oval neck profile and high-performance taper make the 1.75" nut width neck a breeze to play.
While we don't see it as often as the natural gloss, the Ambertone finish is a beautiful burst that pairs well with the antique ivory binding and the rich chocolate browns and blacks of the East Indian rosewood back and sides. Other compliments include the abalone Diamonds and Squares fingerboard inlays, 28-Style back purfling strip, and diamond volute.
Ships complete with molded hardshell Martin case.
