The ThorpyFX Heavy Water was born from customer demand for the boost side of THE DANE pedal to be made into its own pedal. As such, the Heavy Water is a dual boost pedal with a twist. The right-hand side is the same as the boost found on THE DANE. The left-hand side is similarly designed but with more grit/drive available from its Germanium clipping stage. The pedal is designed so that the “DANE” boost runs into the Germanium boost side. This yields three distinct tonal variations ranging from clean boost all the way through to really heavy saturation, when combined with your amp.
